I am so excited to join the faculty and family of John S. Jones as PrincipaI. I have an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from The University of Alabama and am an avid Roll Tide fan! Prior to my role at JSJ, I was Principal at Ivalee Elementary from 2022-2024. I served as Assistant Principal at Hokes Bluff Elementary from 2016-2022, and I taught English Language Arts at Rainbow Middle in both 7th and 8th grade from 2006-2016. My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird authored by Alabama's own Pulitzer Prize Winner, Harper Lee. I love going to the gym and spending time with my husband and family including our three dogs, Brick, Stone, and Dallas.

John S. Jones is my home school.  I began my “career” in education as a Kindergarten student at JSJ in the 1974-75 school year.  I continued through Rainbow Middle School graduating from Southside High School in 1988.  My husband, Toby Ryals, also attended JSJ and graduated in 1986 from Southside High School.  Toby is the owner of Ryals Masonry in Rainbow City, and considers himself blessed to have coached football and wrestling for Southside for over thirty years.  We are lifetime Panthers and both have children that attended JSJ, RMS and SSHS. We live in Rainbow City and attend Harvestfield Church.
